BORN HULL 1893. SON OF HENRY SAY (1853-1905) JANE JENNESON SAY (1858-1942), OF 4, CARLTON TERRACE, SEATON STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS ADDRESS) AND 47, HESSLE ROAD, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). HE HAD THREE BROTHERS AND THREE SISTERS. HE WORKED AS A PAPER BOX MAKER.
HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS A DRIVER, IN THE ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY. DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 09/11/1917, AGED 23. HE IS BURIED IN BELGIUM. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION READS, EVER IN THOUGHT FROM DEAR MOTHER. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER JANE, AND SISTER, MRS EVA SCHOENFIELD.
