HE ENLISTED AT WINDERMERE. FORMERLY, A SAPPER, 170926, ROYAL ENGINEERS. TRANSFERRED TO THE 2ND LEINSTER REGIMENT (ROYAL CANADIANS). DIED OF GUN SHOT WOUNDS AND DISLOCATED HIP, AT HOME, ON 22/11/1918, AGED 34.
HE IS BURIED AT WINDERMERE (BOWNESS) CEMETERY, CUMBRIA, UK.
HIS MOTHER'S FAMILY LIVED AT 21 FREEHOLD STREET, HULL. HIS COUSIN, CORPORAL, WALTER DOUGLAS HENRY HIGGINS, 4TH EYR, WAS KILLED ON 25/09/1916, AGED 20. ANOTHER COUSIN, PRIVATE JOHN CLIFTON SCOTT, 18463, COLDSTREAM GUARDS, WAS KILLED ON 13/04/1918, AGED 21.
