BORN SCARBOROUGH 1890. SON OF WILLIAM & ELIZABETH ATKINSON. HIS WIFE JANE ATKINSON & TWO CHILDREN, LIVED AT THIS 1918 MILITARY VOTERS ADDRESS.

A RULLYMAN FOR THE NORTH EASTERN RAILWAYS. HE ENLISTED AT HULL. SERVED AS PRIVATE, 205704, 7TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 22/09/1918, AGED 28. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, JANE.

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 26/09/1918 & 13/11/1919. HE IS BURIED AT TERLINCTHUN BRITISH CEMETERY, WIMILLE. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, "SADLY MISSED BY HIS LOVING WIFE AND CHILDREN"
