BORN WANDSWORTH 1879. SON OF HARRY ARTHUR ARTHURS (1851-1913) AND EMILY SKELTON (1848-1914), OF 35 WYNDHAM STREET, HULL. ONE OF EIGHT CHILDREN. HE MARRIED JANE ELIZABETH WICKISON (1879-1967), ON 20/08/1905. LIVED AT 55 BROOMWOOD ROAD, BATTERSEA. THREE CHILDREN, HARRY WALTER AND DOROTHY. WORKED AS A JEWELRY MAKER AND REPAIRER. ENLISTED AT ST PANCRAS, LONDON. EX 17244, ROYAL WEST KENT REGIMENT. TRANSFERRED TO THE 13TH LONDON REGIMENT. SHOT THROUGH THE HEAD, WHILST WORKING A LEWIS GUN. DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 11/04/1917, AGED 38. BURIED AT DUISANS BRITISH CEMETERY, ETRUN, FRANCE. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, "GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN".

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 23/04/1918. WIFE JANE E. LIVED LONDON AND THIS ADDRESS..
