BORN HULL 1892. SON OF GEORGE AND MARY ELIZABETH ADDEY, OF 46 FIED STREET, HULL (1901 CENSUS ADDRESS) AND LATER 35 MORRILL STREET, HOLDERNESS ROAD, HULL.
HE ENLISTED AS A PRIVATE AND WAS COMMISSIONED ELEVEN MONTHS AGO. IN JANUARY 1917 HE WAS WOUNDED AND HAD TRENCH FEVER. BEFORE THE WAR HE WAS MASTER PAINTER AND HIS FATHER WAS WELL KNOWN IN THE COAL TRADE. HE WAS KILLED BY A SHELL EXPLOSION. HIS DEATH AND PHOTOGRAPH WERE REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 23RD SEPTEMBER 1918 *
