HE MARRIED JANE ALICE HURD (BORN 13 APRIL 1893), AT HULL, IN 1914. LIVED AT 3, ANNS BUILDINGS, SOUTH PARADE, ANLABY ROAD, HULL AND 12, PROVIDENCE PLACE, PORTER STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS), THEY HAD ONE SON, CHARLES HURN (BORN 29 OCT 1930). SHE REMARRIED A CIVILIAN ON 5 FEB 1918).
HE ENLISTED IN HULL, IN 1914, AGED 25 YEARS AND CALLED TO THE COLOURS IN 1916. POSTED TO THE 1ST KINGS OWN SCOTTISH BORDERERS. KILLED BY A SNIPER, DURING AN ATTACK, ON 04/10/1017, AGED 27. COMMEMORATED AT TYNE COT, BELGIUM.
