BORN BARROW ON HUMBER, 1892. SON OF JOHN BILTON (1843-1912) & JANE ANN PARKIN (1852-1925), OF BARROW ON HUMBER. SON OF A BUILDER. HE WAS A BRICKLAYER'S APPRENTICE. HE HAD SIX BROTHERS AND FOUR SISTERS.

MARRIED IN NEWCASTLE 1917. WIFE MARY S. SEATREE (BORN 28/4/1885). SHE LIVED AT 75 PANMURE ST, NEWCASTLE AND STONEHOUSE, LORDS LANE, BARROW ON HUMBER (WAR PENSION ADDRESS).

HE ENLISTED IN THE 17TH NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS (HULL RAILWAY PALS). POSTED TO FRANCE, ON 20/11/1915. TRANSFERRED TO 493837 LABOUR CORPS. DISCHARGED ON 13/5/1918. DIED OF WOUNDS AT HOME AFTER THE WAR, ON 18/05/1920, AGED 27

HE WAS ONE OF SIX SONS SERVING AND THEY ARE FEATURED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, 05/10/1918.
