Born Lowton, Lancs, 1900. Son of William Ellis Hill and Jessie Robinson Hill, of 466, Newton Rd., Lowton. Newton-le-Willows, Warrington, Lancs. Enlisted Warrington. "F" Company, 4th Lancashire Fusilier. He died at Hull Royal Infirmary, of spinal meningitis, on 19/03/1915, aged 15. Buried Hull Western cemetery.
