HE MARRIED JANE ALICE HURD, AT HULL IN 1914 AND LIVED ON HESSLE ROAD, HULL FOR A TIME.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL, IN 1914, AGED 25 YEARS AND CALLED TO THE COLOURS IN 1916. POSTED TO THE 1ST KINGS OWN SCOTTISH BORDERERS. KILLED BY A SNIPER, DURING AN ATTACK, ON 04/10/1017, AGED 27. COMMEMORATED AT TYNE COT, BELGIUM.
