Armstrong, Thomas Herbert

BORN HULL 1898. SON OF MARY LOUISA & THE LATE THOMAS ARMSTRONG, OF 16 EPPING TERRACE, RODNEY STREET, HULL (CWGC ADDRESS). HE WAS AN APPRENTICE JOINER, 18, UNMARRIED AND LIVED WITH HIS WIDOWED MOTHER AT THIS WAR PENSION ADDRESS.

HE ENLISTED AT HULL, SERVED WITH THE 1ST EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 27/06/1916, AGED 18. BURIED IN BELGIUM.

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 13TH JULY 1916 WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH. ALSO REPORTED IN THE HDM 18/7/16 & 27/6/17.

HE IS BURIED AT LINDENHOEK CHALET MILITARY CEMETERY, BELGIUM. HIS GRAVE READS, “EVER IN THOUGHT”
