TRANSFERRED AS CORPORAL, 38630, IN THE NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS. SERVED IN THE BALKANS, FROM 08/07/1915. KILLED IN ACTION, IN FRANCE, ON 09/04/1917, AGED 39.
HE IS BURIED ROCLINCOURT MILITARY CEMETERY, PAS DE CALAIS, FRANCE. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER, SARAH ANN ATTWOOD, WHO MOVED TO 1 LOWER WYKE STREET, FRNDON. (PENSION LEDGER ADDRESS). HE LEFT A WIDOW ROSE, & TWO CHILDREN.
HE ALSO LEFT BROTHERS, ARTHUR, GEORGE, LOUIS AND WALTER, AND SISTERS, EMILY AND BEATRICE.
