BORN HULL 1897. HULL PAL. SON OF HARRY CHRISTOPHER BARRETT (1865-1934) AND KATE ANTHONY, OF 4, BRENTWOOD VILLAS, REYNOLDSON STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS) AND 89, THORESBY STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). HE LIVED ABOVE WITH SISTER ETHER AND YOUNG BROTHER JAMES.

UNMARRIED MAN. A COMMERCIAL CLERK AND EX BLUNDELL’S PAINT WORKER. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 6.5 INCHES TALL, 34-36 INCH CHEST, 122 LBS WEIGHT.

HE ENLISTED IN THE HULL PALS, ON 18/11/1914. TRAINED AT BEVERLEY AND RIPON. SERVED WITH THE 13TH EYR, IN EGYPT AND FRANCE. KILLED IN ACTION AT SERRE, ON 13/11/1916, AGED 19. HE HAD SERVED IN THE ARMY FOR 1 YEAR AND 363 DAYS. BURIED AT EUSTON ROAD CEMETERY, FRANCE.

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOWED MOTHER.
