BORN 1899. SON OF THE LATE HENRY BILLANY. HIS MOTHER ROSE COYLE (FORMERLY BILLANY), LIVED AT 399 WINCOLMLEE, WITH HER NEW HUSBAND, THOMAS COYLE, AND AT 136 , CUMBERLAND STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION & CWGC ADDRESS).

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED WITH ‘D’ COMPANY, THE 2ND LINCOLN’S REGIMENT. DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 19TH APRIL 1918, AGED 19.
HIS SISTER MRS LEACH, OF 6 FAIR VIEW, NORNABELL STREET, HULL, APPEALED FOR MORE INFORMATION IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 21/01/1919. UNMARRIED. HE IS BURIED IN BELGIUM.
NOTE: (SURNAME IS SPELT BELLAMY IN CENSUS RECORDS , AND BELLANY IN SOLDIER’S DIED RECORDS).

HIS BROTHER, PRIVATE, HARRY BILLANY, 8901, 1ST EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT, WAS KILLED AT THE SOMME, ON 23/07/1916, AGED 21.
