BORN HULL 1897. SON OF ARTHUR ROBERT & MATILDA BRAIMBRIDGE, OF 3, RYDERS TERRACE, STRICKLAND STREET, HULL, (1901 CENSUS), CHAPEL COURT, OSBOURNE STREET (1911 CENSUS) AND 16, ALICIA STREET, CHARLES STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION & ARMY ADDRESS). SON OF A TAILOR. HE HAD TWO BROTHERS AND TWO SISTERS. ON HIS ARMY RECORDS HE STATED THAT HIS FATHER WHEREABOUTS, WERE UNKNOWN.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL, ON 25/05/1915. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 2 INCHES TALL, 33.5 INCH CHEST. HE ARRIVED IN FRANCE ON 05/07/1916. SERVED WITH THE 7TH EAST YORKSHIRE BATTALION. HE WAS KILLED IN ACTION, ON 05/11/1916, AGED 19. HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE THIEPVAL MEMORIAL AT THE SOMME.
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 09/11/1917. UNMARRIED. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER, MATILDA.
