HE WORKED FOR THE NORTH EASTERN RAILWAYS, AT HULL DOCKS. LIVING AT 135 GLASGOW STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS).

HE MARRIED AT BRIDLINGTON, ON 03/05/1914. HIS WIFE, ALICE A. COATES (1886-1957), LIVED AT CHURCH TERRACE, WOLD NEWTON, HUNMANBY, EAST YORKSHIRE. THEY HAD A DAUGHTER, VERA, BORN 07/06/1915.

HIS SISTER, MRS PEARSON LIVED AT 14, FREDERICK CRESCENT, HAWTHORNE AVENUE, HULL.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. FORMERLY. PRIVATE, 32/553, NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS, AND PRIVATE, 242256, YORK AND LANCS. HE TRANSFERRED TO THE 22ND DURHAM LIGHT INFANTRY. TAKEN PRISONER ON 23/03/1918. DIED OF WOUNDS ON 22/04/1918, AGED 28.  HE IS BURIED AT HAUTMONT COMMUNAL CEMETERY, NORD, FRANCE. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 23/11/1918.

HE IS COMMEMORATED AT ST JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH MEMORIAL, NEWINGTON, HULL

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, ALICE, WHO MOVED TO 69, THORNHILL STREET, LEEDS (WAR PENSION ADDRESS).
HIS BROTHER, PRIVATE, JAMES ARTHUR BRAMBLES, 5TH EAST LANCS, WAS KILLED ON 24/08/1918, AGED 22.
