Brown, Charles Jackson

Born Hull, 1894. Son of Mark Brown (1860-1904) and Caroline Isabel simmonds Jackson (1863-1904). His parents died when he was young and he lived with his brother John (Jack) Joseph Brown, at 15, Bean Street, Hull.

He resided at the Station Hotel, Bridlington. Worked in the Bottling Stores (1911 Census)

He Enlisted in the Army Service Corps (Horse Tansport), on 12/12/1915. Posted to France. Transferred as Sapper, and Locomotive Driver for the Royal Engineers. Discharged with sickness, on 18/4/1917.

He married at Hull in Huly 1917. Husband of Florence May Hamer (1899-1936), at 10, Wesley Terrace, Bean Street, Hull ((Probate address). They had four chldren, Beatrice Ethel, Caroline, Harold and Mark.

After the war he worked as a paint Labouror, for E C Podd Painters, 168, Bean Street, Hull (1921 Census).

He died on 27/03/1924. aged 28. He left £45 in his will to his widow, Florence May at 10, Wesley Terrace, Bean Street, Hull.
