HE MARRIED EMILY M LUCAS, AT BEVERLEY, IN AUGUST 1914. HE ENLISTED AT BEVERLEY. SERVED AS LANCE CORPORAL, 241709, AT THE YORKSHIRE HUSSARS DEPOT. HE DIED AT ST LUKES WAR HOSPITAL, IN HALIFAX, ON 19/11/1917. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, EMILM BRUCE AND SON GEORGE PAPE.
HAROLD WAS BURIED ST MARY’S CHURCH YARD, BEVERLEY. HIS NAME IS LISTED ON THE BEVERLEY’S WW1 MEMORIAL, MEMORIAL GARDENS.
