Served during the war with the Royal Marine Light Infantry: Chatham Division. Discharged on 7 Apr 1919. Awarded the Silver War Badge & RN Long Service and Good conduct Medal.
After the war he worked as a Porter at Hull’s Charterhouse. He died at Hull in 1923, aged 47.
