Harry Cobb

BORN HULL 1897. SON OF ANNIE AND ALFRED GEORGE COBB, OF 8, CAMBRIDGE TERRACE, CAMBRIDGE STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS).  A FORMER BOX MAKER FOR RECKITTS.

HE ENLISTED JUNE 1915. SERVED WITH THE 5TH BORDER REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 30/09/1916, AGED 19.

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 4TH DECEMBER 1916, WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH.*

HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, SOMME, FRANCE. ALSO RECORDED ON THE RECKITTS WW1 BOYS CLUB MEMORIAL, HULL.

A SINGLE MAN. HE LEFT ELDER SISTER ALICE, AND BROTHERS WILLIAM AND GEORGE COBB (WOUNDED LEFT ARM, SERVING WITH THE DURHAM LIGHT INFANTRY).
