BORN HULL 1894. SON OF JAMES EDWIN COOPER & SARAH ANN (McCLARRON). SON OF AN ENGINE FITTER. EX RECKITT’S WORKER. HE WORKED AS A LABOURER.

HE ENLISTED IN THE HULL PALS. TRANSFERRED TO THE 1/4TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. HE DIED OF PNEUMONIA, ON 16/08/1918, AGED 23. HE IS BURIED AT ETAPLES MILITARY CEMETERY, FRANCE. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO BOTH PARENTS.

HE ALSO LEFT A BROTHER, JAMES HENRY COOPER, & SISTERS MARY & MARGARET.

HIS NAME IS RECORDED ON THE RECKITT’S WW1 BOY CLUB ROLL OF HONOUR.
