HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS PRIVATE, 11465, 7TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. HE HAD BEEN AT THE FRONT FOR 12 MONTHS. DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 12/07/1916, AGED 33. HE IS BURIED ON THE SOMME, AT HEILLY STATION CEMETERY, MERICOURT-L’ABBE.
