BORN ENFIELD, MIDDLESEX 1885. SON OF FREDERICK WARR & ELIZABETH DAVIS. EDUCATED AT HULL GRAMMAR SCHOOL.

HE MARRIED AT HULL, IN OCTOBER 1916. HUSBAND OF ETHEL MARY PYM, AT 4, PARK ROAD, HULL (CWGC & WAR PENSION ADDRESS).

HE ENLISTED AT PONTEFRACT. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 39625. KING’S OWN YORKSHIRE LIGHT INFANTRY. TRANSFERRED AS PRIVATE, 41667, 16TH WEST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. HE DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 05/05/1917, AGED 32, AT THE 19TH CASUALTY CLEARING STATION. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, ETHEL.

HIS NAME IS RECORDED ON THE HULL GRAMMAR SCHOOL WW1 MEMORIAL. HE IS BURIED AT DUISANS BRITISH CEMETERY, ETRUN. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, “UNTIL THE DAY BREAKS HIS LOVING WIFE ETHEL”
