LEFT WIDOW MAGGIE E (SHARP) & THREE CHILDREN AT 19 CRYSTAL STREET, HULL. HIS IN LAWS LIVED AT 211 PARK AVENUE, HULL. HE IS PICTURED ON HIS WEDDING DAY IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 6TH FEBRUARY 1918. *

HE ENLISTED AS GUNNER, 756212, IN THE ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY. WAS KILLED SIX MONTHS LATER, ON 22/08/1918, AGED 30. HE IS BURIED AT VILLERS-BRETONNEUX MILITARY, CEMETERY, SOMME. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, “THE HEART THAT LOVED HIM, DEARLY IS THE HEART THAT CAN’T FORGET. MOTHER”

HIS NAME IS RECORDED ON THE RECKITT’S WW1 BOY CLUB ROLL OF HONOUR.
