BORN HULL 1894. HULL PAL. SON OF JOHN ALBERT DORAN AND MRS ALICE DORAN, OF 7 CLIFF TERRACE, GRANGE STREET, HULL (1901 CENSUS) AND 42 ROSE STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS). THIRD OF EIGHT CHILDREN. WORKED AS A LABORATORY BOY, FOR SWAN FLOUR MILLS, HULL.

HE ENLISTED IN THE HULL PALS, AS PRIVATE, 13/77 13TH EYR. TRANSFERRED TO THE 1ST EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. DIED AS A GERMAN PRISONER OF WAR, ON 05/07/1918, AGED 24. BURIED IN GERMANY. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 28/08/1918. *
HE WAS BROTHER TO JOHN, JOE, BEATRICE & AMY, AT THIS ARMY ADDRESS. HIS SISTER, MRS LOCKHAM, LIVED AT 75 BARNSLEY STREET, HULL.
