Enlisted on 3 Sept 1914. Posted to France, on 28 Dec 1914. Served in the Prince of Wales’s Own (West Yorkshire) Regiment. Transferred to the Royal Army Medical Corps. Returned to Engalnd on 17 June 1916 – Gunshot wounds to both eyes. Served for 4 years and 151 days. Discharged as disabled, on 1 Feb 1919.
Worked Training As Blacksmith on the Doisabled Soldier Scheme Beverley (1921 Census). living at 28 Waller Street, Hull. Died 28 Aug 1931.
