BORN HULL 1892. SON OF ROBERT FENTON AND MRS BERTHA ANNIE BARNBY, OF 4, AIRIE STREET, HULL AND 87, GLASGOW STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS).

HE SERVED AS SAPPER, WR/276852, IN THE 52ND BROAD GAUGE OPERATING COMPANY, ROYAL ENGINEERS. DIED OF A FRACTURED THIGH AND AMPUTATION, AT 30TH GENERAL HOSPITAL, FRANCE, ON 21/12/1918. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER “BERTHA”.

HIS DEATH & ADDRESS WERE REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 20/12/18.

HE IS BURIED AT LES BARAQUES MILITARY CEMETERY, SANGATTE, CALAIS, FRANCE.
