Enlisted in London. Posted to France, on 15/01/1915. Formerly, Private, 9175, 2nd & 6th East Yorks Regt. Transferred to the 6th and 8th Yorkshire Hussars (Alexandra, Princes of Wales’ Own). Killed in action on 17/05/1917. Commemorated on the Ypres Menin Gate Memorial, Belgium.
His army effects were left to his widow Eva, who remarried, became Eva Luckin and moved to New York, USA (Wap Pension records).
