Born Dalton Holme, Beverley, Yorkshire, 1888. Husband of Mary Jane Fisher, of Lund, Beverley, Yorks. A farm labourer. described as 5 foot, 10 inches tall, 40-42 inch chest, He married at Lund, on 22 Jun 1910.

Enlisted Beverley, on 23/09/1916. Formerly 42846, West Yorkshire Regiment. Posted to France, on 13/07/1917. Transferred to the Barnsley Pals, on 30/03/1918. Killed in action, 12/04/1918, aged 30. His army effects were left to his widow, Mary Jane and their five children.
