Enlisted on 18 Jan 1916. Served in the 10th and 1st East Yorkshire Regiment. Discharged on 3 July 1918, aged 25. Awarded the Silver War Badge (No: 417206).
Died in Hull on 28/11/1929, aged 36. Buried at Hull Northern Cemetery.
His brother, Arthur Fitches served in the Royal Army Service Corps and lived at 21, Wainfleet Terrace, Fountain Road, Hull.
