Born Hull 1890. Married in 1910. Husband of Clara at 9, Poplar Avenue, Poplar Street, Chapman Street, Hull and 11 Louisa Terrace, St Paul Street, Hull (War Pension addresses). He was a Feed Cake Moulder. They had one son Stanley who was killed in WW2 – 20 May 1940, aged 29.
Enlisted on 14 Nov 1914. Posted to France on 7 Aug 1915. Served with the 7th King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. Discharged on 12 April 1917, with Nephritis. Awarded the Silver War Badge (No: 126647).
After the war he worked as a Electric Crane, Overhead Driver, for Priestman Bros Ltd, Steam Grab & Grab Manufacturers.
He died at Hull in 1929 aged 39.
