Gall, Henry (Harry)

BORN HULL 1900. ENLISTED HULL WHEN ONLY 17 YEARS OLD. SON OF JAMES WILLIAM & MRS MARTHA HOWARD GALL, OF 10 GLENCOE VILLAS, STONEFERRY, HULL AND 92 DE GREY STREET, HULL. A FORMER RECKITTS WORKER. HE SERVED WITHTHE 4TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. WAS KILLED IN ACTION, ON 20//04/1918, AGED 18.

HE IS BURIED AT LINDENHOEK CHALET MILITARY CEMETERY, BELGIUM. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION READS, “EVER IN THOUGHT”

HE IS LISTED ALSO ON THE STONEFERRY ROLL OF HONOUR, IN  HULL

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 22/04/1918. HE IS BURIED AT LINDENHOEK CHALET MILITARY CEMETERY, BELGIUM. HIS GRACE READS, “EVER IN THOUGHT”.

HIS PHOTOGRAPH ALONG WITH HIS 19 YEAR OLD BROTHER, JAMES WILLIAM GALL, INVALIDED AT THE DARDENELLES, APPEARS IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 27TH SEPTEMBER 1915.
