BORN HULL 24/07/1898. SON OF THE LATE CHARLES GOOD AND ANNIE GOOD (1871-1960), OF 11 LIZZIES GROVE, NEWINGTON STREET, HULL. THE SECOND OF THREE SONS. THIS WAS HIS ARMY ADDRESS ABOVE. A RULLYMAN WITH THE HULL BREWERY COMPANY.  DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 6 INCHES TALL, 106 LBS WEIGHT, 34 INCH CHEST, CHURCH OF ENGLAND RELIGION. HE ENLISTED ON 02/03/1916. CALLED UP FOR SERVICE ON 22/02/1917. FORMERLY PRIVATE,  52263, WEST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. POSTED TO FRANCE, ON 08/10/1917. TRANSFERRED TO THE 13TH YORK AND LANCASTER REGIMENT (1ST BARNSLEY PALS). SPENT 35 DAYS IN HOSPITAL WITH TRENCH FEVER. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 22/05/1918, AGED 19. UNMARRIED, HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOWED MOTHER. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 11/06/1918. *

HIS NAME IS RECORDED ON HULL’S CITY ENGINEERS MEMORIAL, PARK STREET, HULL.

BURIED AT CAESTRE MILITARY CEMETERY, NORD, FRANCE. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, “AT REST”.

HIS TWO BROTHERS, GEORGE AND LEONARD GOOD, ALSO SERVED.
