HE ENLISTED IN THE 13TH HULL.PALS. DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 05/11/1917, AGED 34. HE IS BURIED AT DUISANS BRITISH CEMETERY, ETRUN. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, “TIS SWEET TO KNOW WE’LL MEET AGAIN WHERE PARTINGS ARE NO MORE”
