Grunnell, Harry Feetham

BORN HULL 29/03/1896. SON OF JOHN HERBERT & HANNAH ELIZABETH GRUNNELL ABOVE. NAVAL RECORDS.

HMT Helgian, built by Cochrane & Sons, Ltd., Selby in 1913 and hired at the time of her loss by the Royal Navy, was a British navy trawler of 220 tons. On September 6th, 1917, HMT Helgian was sunk by a mine from the German submarine UC-23 (Volkhard von Bothmer), in the Gulf of Ruphani, in the Aegean Sea. 10 persons were lost.
