BORN HULL, 1887. SON OF STEPHENSON HALL AND SARAH ANN HALL, OF 45 VICTOR STREET, HULL. SON O A WAGON LOADER. HE HAD THREE BROTHERS AND TWO SISTERS.

HUSBAND OF OLIVE HALL, AT 2 ANDREW MARVEL TERRACE, WYKE STREET, HEDON ROAD, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). BEFORE THE WAR HE WORKED AS A COAL HOIST WORKER, AT HULL’S ALEXANDRA DOCK. HE ENLISTED IN HULL. PREVIOUSLY SERVED AS 13627 6TH EYR (PIONEERS) AND TOOK PART AT THE DARDENELLES LANDINGS. HE TRANSFERRED TO THE 2ND YORKSHIRE REGIMENT, “D” COMPANY. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 22/03/1918. HIS DEATH AND PHOTOGRAPH WERE REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 2ND JULY 1919. *

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, OLIVE. HE HAD TWO CHILDREN, BERTHA HALL (BORN 13/08/1913) AND ERNEST COATESWORTH HALL (BORN 03/07/1915).
