BORN HULL 1882. LIVED WITH STEP PARENTS AT 5 EASTBOURNE STREET, HESSLE ROAD, HULL. A FORMER SOLDIER. HE WORKED AS A DOCK LABOURER. CALLED UP WHEN WAR BEGAN. HE ENLISTED AT HULL. SERVED IN THE 2ND YORK AND LANCASTER REGIMENT. DIED ON 17/02/1916, AGED 34.

HIS BROTHER, PRIVATE, ALBERT HARDY, WHO WORKED FOR THE NORTH EASTERN RAILWAYS AND SERVED IN THE RAILWAY PALS, WAS KILLED IN ACTION, ON 14/03/1918.

THEIR DEATHS WERE REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 17/03/1920. *
