Son of Francis and Mary Jane Harland, of Langtoft; husband of Annie Harland, of Langtoft, Lowthorpe, Yorkshire.
He served in the Labour Corps (514th Agricultural Company). Died of Influenza, while on active service, on 31/01/1919, aged 34. Buried Hull Northern Cemetery.
He had one daughter, Marjorie May, born 12 Dec 1917, who was cared for by Mrs C Robinson of 5, Melboure Grove, Wyndham Street, Hull and Ethel Gilbank, of 12 Newstead Street, Hull (war pension addresses).
