ENLISTED BEVERLEY. SERVED WITH THE 1/6TH NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS. REPORTED WOUNDED AND MISSING, THEN KILLED IN ACTION ON 15/09/1916, AGED 23.

COMMEMORATED AT THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, SOMME, FRANCE.

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER, WILLIAM. HIS NAME IS RECORDED ON THE HESSLE ROLL OF HONOUR, ALL SAINTS PARISH CHURCH.
