Harrison, Walter

BORN HULL 13/04/1869. SON OF WILLIAM HENRY HARRISON (1844-1907) & ELLEN SCOTT (1846-1915). A FISHERMAN. HE MARRIED AT HULL, IN 1889. HIS WIFE EUGENEIA HAINSWORTH (1870-1949), LIVED AT 44 , BOULEVARD, HULL. THEY HAD FOUR DAUGHTERS AND THREE SONS.

HE SERVED IN THE WAR AS SKIPPER, OF THE ROYAL NAVY MINESWEEPER, “VASCO DE GARMA”. DIED AT PEMBROKE DOCK, WALES, ON 19/02/1919, AGED 49. HIS PROBATE ADDRESS WAS 24 HAVELOCK STREET, HESSLE ROAD. HE LEFT £111 IN HIS WILL, TO HIS BROTHER, WILLIAM HENRY HARRISON (A LABOURER) AND HIS WIFE, WINIFRED CROSIER.

HIS NAME IS LISTED ON THE WALKER STREET ROLL OF HONOUR. HIS BROTHER LOST HIS RIGHT LEG IN THE WAR AND APPEARED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON O8/11/1916.
