BORN LIVERPOOL 1858. SON OF THE LATE JAMES AND HARRIET HASELDEN. HE MARRIED JANE RODHAM BROWN, AT HULL, IN JANUARY 1880. THEY HAD FIVE CHILDREN. LIVED AT THIS PROBATE ADDRESS. HE WAS CHIEF ENGINEER, ON THE STEAM SHIP “PERTH” FROM GLASGOW. SUNK BY SUBMARINE, ON 02/04/1916, AGED 61 HE LEFT £2,806 IN HIS WILL TO HIS WIDOW AND BROTHER FREDERICK HASELDEN, WHO DIED IN HULL IN 1919.
