BORN HULL 05/09/1886. SON OF WILLIAM HENRY & MARIA ELIZABETH (COLLISON), OF ST GEORGES ROAD, HULL, 7 GILBERT STREET, HULL AND 2 COVELLY GARDENS, SUBWAY STREET. WIFE CAROLINE LIVED AT JUBILLE AVENUE, HARROW STREET AND 8 LIZZIE GROVE, HARROW STREET, HULL (CWGC NAVAL ADDRESS). A FISHERMAN BY TRADE. ENLISTED IN THE ROYAL NAVAL RESERVE AS AN ENGINEMAN. THE DRIFTER ‘BOUNTIFUL’ WAS SUNK OFF THE DOVER COAST, WHILE MINESWEEPING. WILLIAM HOWARD DIED AT THE DAVID LEWIS NORHERN HOSPITAL ON 11/07/1915, AGED 28. HE IS BURIED AT HULL WESTERN CEMETERY. HE LEFT A WIDOW AND THREE CHILDRE. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL TIMES, ON 24/07/1915, WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH. *
