BORN HULL 1895. SECOND SON OF PHILIP GEORGE JEYNES & EVA CHILMAN. HIS FATHER WAS A MASTER BUTCHER. HE WORKED IN THE HULL CORPORATION, TOWN CLERK’S DEPARTMENT.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. JOINING THE 10TH EYR, ‘HULL COMMERCIALS’. HE WAS OUNDED IN ACTION, AND DIED TWENTY MINUTES LATER, ON 03/08/1916, AGED 21. UNMARRIED. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER PHILIP. HE IS BURIED IN FRANCE. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 11/08/1916. *
HIS ONLY BROTHER, CHARLES JEYNES, SERVED WITH THE RAMC AND LIVED AT 93 MELROSE STREET, HULL
