EDUCATED AT HULL GRAMMAR SCHOOL. A RAILWAY CLERK WORKING IN SWINDON (1911 CENSUS).  COMMISSIONED INTO THE ROYAL ENGINEERS, TUNNELLING COMPANY. KILLED IN BELGIUM, ON 25/09/1917, AGED 27.

HE LEFT £158 TO WIDOW, ELEANOR MARGARET, ESKIN PLACE, KESWICK, CUMBERLAND.
