ENLISTED BEVERLEY. FORMERLY 481691, K.O.Y.L.I. HE MARRIED IN JULY 1915. HE DIED OF INFLUENZA, ON ARMISTICE DAY, 11/11/1918, THE DAY THE WAR ENDED, AGED 25.

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, ADA ELIZABETH WETHERALL (893-1966) AND SON GEORGE (1918-1981), WHO LIVED AT FIRST LANE, HESSLE, HULL (CWGC ADDRESS).
HIS NAME IS RECORDED ON THE HESSLE ROLL OF HONOUR, ALL SAINTS PARISH CHURCH.
