Jude, Herbert Ajlon

BORN BEVERLEY 1879. SON OF JOHN JUDE (1840-1927) AND HARRIET BALES (1845-1886), OF CHANTRY LANE, BEVERLEY (CWGC ADDRESS). HE HAD NINE BROTHERS AND SIX SISTERS. EMIGRATED TO MONTREAL, CANADA IN 1906. ENLISTED BEVERLEY. SERVED WITH THE 6TH YORKSHIRE HUSSARS. DIED OF WOUNDS AT 47TH CASUALTY CLEARING STATION, BELGIUM, ON 15/10/1917, AGED 38. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFTTO HIS FATHER, JOHN JUDE. HIS NAME IS RECORDED ON THE BEVERLEY WAR MEMORIAL, MEMORIAL GARDENS. HE IS BURIED AT DOZINGHEM MILITARY CEMETERY
