BORN HULL 1885. SON OF THOMAS KEMP (1847- 1905) & EMMA LOUISA LAMB (1866-1929), OF 9, RAIKES STREET, HULL. ONE OF FOUR SONS.  HE MARRIED ELLEN LANGAN, IN 1908. A FORMER CORN LABOURER, LIVING AT 23, WHITBY STREET, HULL. (1911 CENSUS).

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS A SAPPER IN THE ROYAL ENGINEERS WATER INLAND TRANSPORT COMPANY. HE ACCIDENTALLY DROWNED ON PLEASURE BOAT, AT GRAVESEND, KENT, ON 03/05/1916, AGED 31. HIS COMPANION MADE A GALLANT ATTEMPT TO SAVE HIM. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 23/07/1916. *

HE LEFT WIDOW, ELLEN AND TWO CHILDREN AT 8 WOOLERTON AVENUE, DANSOM LANE, HULL (PENSION LEDGER ADDRESS)
