Kingston, Ernest Edward

BORN HULL 1892. ELDEST SON OF THE LATE ROBERT HARLAND KINGSTON (1865-1909). HIS MOTHER WAS HELENA MAUD, OF 4, GOODWIN TERRACE, GOODWIN STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). HE HAD TWO BROTHERS AND THREE SISTERS.

A FORMER NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY PORTER, IN WEST HULL. HE WAS 5 FOOT. 1 INCHE TALL, 127 LBS WEIGHT, 35-37 INCH CHEST, CHURCH OF ENGLAND RELIGION.

HE ENLISTED IN THE HULL PALS, ON 07/09/1914. SERVED IN THE 11TH EYR, IN EGYPT AND FRANCE. WOUNDED AND RETTURNED TO ENGLAND ON 17/12/1916. RETURNED TO FRANCE AGAIN ON 08/09/1917. TRANSFERRED TO THE 8TH EYR. DIED OF GUNSHOT WOUNDS TO THE RIGHT THIGH, ON 04/10/1917, AGED 25. HE IS BURIED AT LE TREPORT MILITARY CEMETERY, FRANCE.
