3 CAMPBELL’S PLACE, ALICIA STREET, CHARLES STREET, HULL WAS HIS ARMY RECORDS ADDRESS, WHERE HE LIVED WITH HIS MOTHER SUSAN. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT 2 INCHES TALL, 35.5 INCH CHEST AND 133 LBS WEIGHT. SERVED WITH THE 13TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT IN EGYPT AND FRANCE. TRANSFERRED TO THE 7TH EAST YORKSHIRE BATTALION. HE WAS KILLED IN ACTION, ON 29/07/1917, AGED 24. BURIED AT BROWN’S COPSE CCEMETERY, ROUEX, FRANCE.

UNMARRIED. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER SUSAN. HE LEFT A STEP BROTHER, GEORGE DRINKALL AND SISTERS, EMMA RUTLEDGE AND CLARA GOODWIN.
