Martinson, David Alexander

BORN BARROW UPON HUMBER, 1874. SON OF FANNY FRANCIS BATCHELOR (1856-1878) AND FREDERICK MARTINSON (1841-1881). HE WAS RAISED BY HIS AUNT AND UNCLE. HE MARRIED LAURA DUNHAM (1888-1957) AT SCULCOATES, HULL, IN 1908. THEY HAD THREE CHILDREN. HE WORKED AS A FISH MERCHANT IN HULL.

ENLISTED HULL. SERVED AS GUNNER IN THE 150TH ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY. DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 01/05/1918, AGED 43, AT 20TH CASUALTY CLEARING STATION.

HE LEFT £335 IN HIS WILL TO HIS AUNT ANN DINSDALE, WIDOW, AT 15 PRINCES AVENUE, WEST DOCK STREET, HULL (PROBATE ADDRESS).
