McLachlan, Alexander

A Native of Hull. Reported as died of wounds in 1915. Son of John Mclaclan, the late ship wright of Hull and was brother and uncle of the Mclachan’s at Kingston Villas, Estcourt Street, Hull. He had joined the regular army and served in India. He worked in Hull timber yards for Messrs R Wade & Co. He emigrated to Canada in 1908. Enlisted in the Princess Patrica’s at the beginning of the war. His death was reported in the Hull Daily Mail, on 13/08/1915.

There are no CWGC records of his death. His brother, nephew and brother in law also died in the war.
